Information for Vets

One of our main aims is to help cat owners to better understand some of the physiological and psychological problems which can inflict our feline companions, and assist in the recognition of the early signs of these ailments. This way we hope to encourage cat lovers to seek veterinary advice before the problem has become of greater danger to their pets. We believe that a better-informed owner is more likely to seek help at an earlier stage, and it is possible that we may also be able to create a more informed dialogue between the vet and caring client. A well recognised and recorded history is so very helpful in reaching an accurate diagnosis.

We also endeavour to advance feline welfare by funding and organising free CPD Symposia and free Webinars for vets and cat owners and also by directly funding scientific research.

The charity is independently funded entirely by its Trustees and therefore does not compete with other charities for sorely needed donations. Furthermore, we do not seek financial support from commercial enterprise for any of our activities.

"If animals could speak, the dog would be a blundering outspoken fellow, but the cat would have the rare grace of never saying a word too much"
